DEPOSITS
Any deposit placed on merchandise and left unclaimed by the purchaser for more than 14 days from the invoice date shall be forfeited by the purchaser to House of Design Marketplace.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED
We work to ensure your satisfaction by opening, assembling, and inspecting every piece of furniture prior to your delivery and pick-up. Plus, we will provide you with an estimated 3 hour delivery window prior to your delivery.
THE FINE PRINT
These guidelines apply to all merchandise purchased “as-is.” All sales are final. Some of items do have blemishes from light use during unoccupied stagings. We have taken this into account when pricing all items.
REFUND POLICY
In-Store Refund Policy (for purchases made at House of Design location): You will receive a full refund if you cancel your purchase at least one (1) day prior to your scheduled delivery. Deliveries cancelled on the day of delivery will be subject to a restocking charge of 15% of item sale price.
No refunds or re-selections are allowed after delivery or pickup of merchandise.
When purchasing an on-sale item, no refunds or reselections are allowed once any items included in the package are delivered.
Online Refund Policy (for purchases made at HouseofDesignGA.com): You will receive a full refund if you cancel your online purchase within three (3) days after receipt of delivery. Deliveries cancelled on or after the day of delivery will be subject to a restocking charge of 15% of item total + delivery. Original delivery and shipping charges are non-refundable.
Accessories: Tabletop items, wall décor, accent pillows, linens, lamps, florals, and area rugs can be returned to a showroom within three (3) days. Item must be in new, unused condition in the original packaging.
Damage Claims: Any damage must be reported to Customer Care within one (1) day after delivery and will require clear photographs to arrange appropriate services. For minor damages, House of Design will provide in-home repair service.
DELIVERY INFORMATION
All in stock merchandise will be reserved 9 days prior to your delivery. Delivery time frames are provided for your convenience, but cannot be guaranteed due to unforeseen circumstances that may occur on your day of delivery.
Our Merchandise is:
- UPS Shippable
- Most items are shipped from our distribution center in Kennesaw, GA.
- Most items ship within 48-72 hours.
- UPS shippable items normally arrive within 7 business days.
- Shipping rates are determined by the overall order and shipping options. Please note that larger items which are designated as “TRUCK SHIP ONLY” will be shipped by freight line as determined by our logistics team.

DELIVERY/PICK-UP PREPARATION
Each customer is responsible to provide a clear path for delivery, free of impediments. Stairways, elevators, and doorways must be large enough to allow safe handling of your furniture. Please secure your home for delivery by covering exposed floors with protective material and removing furniture or objects that may obstruct the path or create difficulty with the delivery. House of Design is not responsible for damages that may result from a delivery. For customer pickup of products, each customer is responsible to provide a safe, spacious vehicle for transport.
DOMESTIC FURNITURE SHIPPING
Orders placed outside our standard delivery area are fulfilled by a third-party shipping company. Basic and Premium Shipping are available across the continental United States. Freight and delivery charges will vary based on services selected, location, and total weight.
How it works
When completing checkout online, choose Self Pickup as your delivery method. Our normal pick up hours are Monday-Friday 9am-2pm. Pick up scheduling can be made online using our Pick Up Scheduling calendar.
Once you’ve placed your order, contact Customer Care at 404-670-2077 between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM if you are not able to pick-up during our normal pick-up hours listed above.
